What is it, and why do we love it so much?

There are so many styles, genres and sub-genres of photography out there, all of which are beautiful in their own rights. Here at Rerun we love everything about lifestyle photography, and generally speaking what you see posted on our social media and website are examples of that.

By our definition, lifestyle photography seeks to capture real-life moments and connections in an artistic, visually pleasing manner. It's a beautiful hybrid of portrait, sometimes a little bit of landscape and documentary/journalism.

At Rerun we love individuality and personality and we're a big advocate of being undeniably true to ourselves. We want to capture you for who you are and that's why we love lifestyle photography. It isn't always about getting the best angles and ensuring the lighting is perfect (though of course those things play a big part!), we're more focussed on capturing true moments filled with real emotions, so that when you look back on your images years later - you won't just see a pretty picture, but those feelings will all be there too.

Lifestyle photography can be applied to all situations: Weddings, individual portraits, couples, families, pets - you name it! We find that most people (and definitely pets) photograph much better when they're allowed to just be their wonderful natural selves. On our sessions we like to give gentle prompting where needed, but otherwise we just like to be more like a fly on the wall.

We take a relaxed yet thorough approach to ensure we get everything you want from a session. We are accepting of everyone and will go to great lengths to make you feel at ease, whatever it is you may need.
